A great opportunity to try some great locally grown food, as well as local beer, wine and other shopping, is coming up this Friday at the Calgary Farmers Market's 'Taste the Market' event.
The Calgary Farmers Market will be transformed Friday night into a candlelight lounge with live music, food sampling and discounted prices on local vendors, night shopping and great beer and wine. Live music will be presented by local musician, Kaley Kinjo, and Wild Rose Brewery will be featured.
The evening will also include a food competition with alumni from the Start from Scratch program celebrating its 4th Anniversary. Alumni students will pair-up with local chefs to create delicious appetizers exclusively for this event. Guests will belly up to try the tasty creations and vote for their favorite. The best dish will be crowned and all proceeds will go to the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. - Calgary Farmers Market
