This Thursday, December 1st, attend a free open house on the Springbank Hill natural park enhancement. First, here's a bit of background on this:
On 26 Avenue SW between 77 and 69 Street, there is a six-acre parcel of community land with a large, natural wooded area. The City of Calgary is seeking input and ideas on how to improve the space to make it more funcgtional and accessible, while keeping preservation a priority.
As part of The City’s “This is my neighbourhood” program, residents of Springbank Hill requested help in enhancing this area for community use. To create ideas on how to improve the functionality and accessibility of this natural park, the Springbank Hill Community Association partnered with Ground Cubed Landscape Architects (ground3), a professional landscaping company, to develop some conceptual designs. Conceptual designs incorporated feedback received from the community during the "This is my neighbourhood" engagement. [City of Calgary]
Right now, Springbank Hill residents are being asked to provide feedback, either at an open house or online. Feedback will be sought on the conceptual designs, and then once a design is finalized, implementations will be made to the area.
Open house is Thursday, December 1 from 5:30 - 8:30pm at Valleyview Community Church. Input and ideas can be provided online as well in this form.
