2015 Property Assessments have been mailed out by the City of Calgary today, and the numbers show that Calgary home values have hit a record high. The value of single-family homes in Calgary has increased by $45,000 to hit a peak level of $475,000.

Assessments are calculated based on the value of the property as of July 1, 2014 and the physical condition of the property as of December 31, 2014.

Once you receive your assessment, review the information thorughly. If you feel there are disrepancies in your assessment, you have until March 5, 2015 to appeal with the City. You will need the access code off your assessment in order to open an appeal, and you can do so on the City of Calgary website here

With the City of Calgary's online assessment portal, you can:

  • Search property assessments
  • Verify your property information
  • View sales reports
  • Assign property managers/authorize agents

You can read more highlights from the assessments on the Global Calgary website here
