The historic and unique community of Currie Barracks is currently under redevelopment, and the new phase of the project was recently approved.

On May 12th, the City approved a total of 5,100 residential units, which will be an add-on to the 500 residential units in phase one, and 615,000 square feet of office space and 250,000 square feet of retail space. This new phase of the plan will also include the development of up to six condo towers with a maximum height of 30 storeys.

The new condo towers will be in close proximity to Mount Royal University and the employment sectors in the community. Some of the most beautiful single-family homes in our city will be availalable in this community, and all residential homes will be close to green spaces, parks, food and retail.

“We have a very substantial portion of the plan that is both lower-density residential, single-family and low-density townhome and four-storey condo development, as well. We will be finishing the sales in phases one and two this summer and then bringing on new single-family or low-density product on stream next year.” — Doug Cassidy from Canada Lands Co.
