As you've probably heard by now, the City of Calgary is commemorating the one-year anniversary of last year's flooding by having communities host parties this weekend for 'Neighbour Day'. The Marda Loop Community Association, Inn From the Cold and YWCA are putting on a Neighbour Day party on Saturday, June 21st.

Not only is this event to commemorate the community coming together during last year's flood, but also in appreciation of the support Inn From the Cold and YWCA of Calgary received during the 2013 flood.

Marda Loop residents are invited to attend this free event. Details:

Date: Saturday, June 21

Time: 11:30 am - 3 pm

Where: Marda Loop Community Hall (3130 - 16 Street SW)

There will be free hot dogs, refreshments and cake. It is advised you bring a blanket and/or chairs if you plan to attend. Details on other Neighbour Day parties are here
