The City of Calgary is reviewing a proposal to change redevelop the east side of the Currie Barracks, which would see a medium-density mix of retail, office space and residential space. The proposal, being brought forth by Canada Lands Company, includes a network of green space and pathways and would preserve the key military history in the area.
In an effort to allow residents of the area to provide feedback on the development proposal, the City has set up an on-site information location at the Currie Barracks Sales Centre. From now until September 18, residents will be able to receive self-serve information about the proposal, and City staff will be on-site every Wednesday and Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm.
The Currie Barracks Sales Centre is located at J5, 2953 Battleford Avenue SW. Hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 2-8 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and Holidays, 12-5 p.m. The Sales Centre is closed on Fridays.
More information on the proposal and the self-serve information is available on the City of Calgary website.
