Would you say your garage is safe and secure? When was the last time you really audited how secure your garage (and everything in it) really is?

Garage break-ins are nothing foreign to Calgarians, and coming up on November and the holiday season, those numbers generally tend to rise. In taking into account some tips gathered from various resources online, here's some important things to keep in mind:

Lock it up:
While this seems common sense, ensure all windows and doors to your garage are locked.

Take it with you:

If you're parking your vehicle outside your garage, take your garage door opener with you.

Light your exterior:

Keeping your garage doors lit just makes it easier to keep an eye on things.

Hide valuables:

If you have windows in your garage, ensure anything of value is kept out of sight.

Do you have some other tips for garage safety and security? Please share them with me on Twitter so I can add them to this list.
