The power outage that affected thousands of Calgarians over the weekend is now expected to stretch out until mid-day on Thursday. With many businesses and residents displaced, several Calgary groups have rallied to help out those affected.

If you are affected by the outage, here are some resources for you:

Mewata Armoury: this is where the City of Calgary information and accommodation centre is being setup.

Calgary Chamber: an emergency website has been setup for businesses affected by the outage.

Eau Claire YMCA: this location is offering free drop-ins for showers.

Shaw: Shaw has setup stations for free wifi and mobile charging for those affected. Information on hotspots is here

The Commons: this co-working space is opening up its doors for businesses to work in.

If you're looking for a way to help out, use the hashtag #yychelps on Twitter to find out about opportunities or to offer help/supplies. Global Calgary has a list of more resources for those affected on their website here
