February Housing Statistics: West Calgary

CREB released their housing statistics for February recently, and it appears as though tighter inventory is resulting in price growth for Calgary. It has also dictated the buying process for those in the market for a new home; buyers are no longer delaying their purchasing decisions.


Here's what the February 2013 housing market looked like in the West Calgary communities I work in:


Aspen Woods
Inventory = 45
Median price = $725,000
Average days on market = 45


Discovery Ridge
Inventory = 21
Median price = $742,000
Average days on market = 21

 

Springbank Hill
Inventory = 56
Median price = $718,500
Average days on market = 22

 

Richmond Hill
Inventory = 8
Median price = $555,000
Average days on market = 33

 

Strathcona Park
Inventory = 20
Median price = $632,000
Average days on market = 59


Christie Park Estates

Inventory = 2
Median price = $846,000
Average days on market = 14

 

Garrison Woods
Inventory = 2
Median price = $495,000
Average days on market = 22
