Discovery Ridge is the community I'm proud to call home. The community is located just south of highway 8 at 69th Street in the southwest. And with only one road in, it is a community of locals with no thru traffic.
When the community first began construction in 1990, it was planned to be a gated community, but today it is open to the public and home to approximately 4,290 people.
Food and Dining
Javino Coffee & Wine Bar: This is a community favourite! Enjoy bistro-style comfort food, great coffees and live music at this elegant and quaint venue.

Maharaja East Indian Restaurant: This is a personal favourite of mine for their delicious butter chicken, naan breads and pakoras–so good!

Parks and Community
Griffith Woods Park: 230 acres of pathways, woodlands and trails perfect for hikers cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts. This park is home to a wide array of birds, coyotoes, moose and even the occasional black bear, cougar or lynx. There are great fishing and tubing opportunities here as well.
Griffiths Store: This is a unique convenience store offering dry cleaning, video rentals and all the treats you would expect in a convenience store. I also sponsor the community bulletin board there.
