Calgarians have really banded together over the last couple of weeks to help out all of the businesses and people affected by the floods. But Mayor Nenshi is getting the message out that there is still lots of work to be done. While we continue to rebuild our city, here's some ways you can help out now.

Food Donations: the Calgary Food Bank has been struggling to meet the needs of those displaced or homeless due to floods. Power outages have also spoiled a lot of food and their shelves are running dry. You can donate non-perishable food items to them (on Twitter @CalgaryFoodBank).

Food and Clothing Donations: the Calgary Drop-In Centre is in need of men's clothing, hygiene items and non-perishable food items at this time. You can donate at their location (on Twitter @CalgaryDropIn).

Clothing and Shoes: Neighbourlink has requested flip-flops and clothing items be dropped off at their location for delivery to communities in and around Calgary, they are in the city's NE (on Twitter: @NeighbourLink).

You can always help by volunteering as well. There are lots of opportunities listed at yychelps.ca, or on the City of Calgary website (on Twitter @CityofCalgary).
